There are many opportunities available for youth to get involved in the tours, programs & events at Bulloch Hall. We've listed a few of these opportunities below for your convenience. Junior Docents (Age 10 - 12)
Are you a student between the ages of 10 and 12 who might be interested in:
Learning about our local history
Working with visitors from all over the world
Participating in special Bulloch Hall events
Working in the new Children’s Museum Room
Meeting people with similar interests
If so, consider volunteering as a Junior Docent at Bulloch Hall.
Our Junior Docents are enthusiastic, motivated students who are trained to assist in a variety of activities at Bulloch Hall including: tours, special events, and children’s programs.
This is an opportunity for you to explore history, develop skills in leadership and public speaking while making a significant contribution to our community.
Junior Docents are required to attend training classes and volunteer for three hours a month when the training is completed. To apply to be a Junior Docent today, contact Gwen at 770 992-1731 ext. 4
Apprentice Docents (Age 13-18) (program currently inactive)

Possible museum careers
Learning more about local history and the Bulloch Family
Perfecting your public speaking skills
Meeting other teens with similar interests

Building community service hours for your college resume
If so, you may be interested in the Apprentice Docent Program at Bulloch Hall.
Highly motivated high school age students with a passion for history are trained to participate in a variety of activities from giving tours to reenactments.
You will learn how to effectively interpret information learned in monthly training classes. You will learn to present information in a personal, friendly and professional style. You will grow in confidence, develop skills in leadership, and have the opportunity to meet historians, archaeologists, and other museum professionals.

Internships
Candidates for internships with an interest in history or who have computer skills are valued volunteers at Bulloch Hall. In the past, our interns have assisted us in maintaining our archives, library, and computer records, making a significant contribution to the continuing success of our house museum.
